Human Brains &
It’s a pretty simple formula, but it says everything you need to know about our approach to the work we do. We’re people who do our jobs well. Darn well. And we build powerful tech to help along the way.
Here are the team members leading the charge.
CEO / Founder, LumenAd
Ryan is an entrepreneur and an innovator. He founded LumenAd in the spring of 2014 driven by the opportunities created at the convergence of marketing data, analytics and automation.
Intentionally skipping the techplexes of San Francisco, Ryan opted to build a software company in Missoula, Montana – away from the noise and predispositions of modern marketing – that actually solves the problems marketers face.
Prior to LumenAd, Ryan was Vice President at GCS Research, a geospatial analytics company. He holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA from The University of Montana.
Founder & Co-Managing Partner, Next Frontier Capital
Will Price is the Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Next Frontier Capital, a MT-based venture capital fund that partners with mission-driven, talented entrepreneurs to build Montana technology companies of impact, utility and value.
Prior to Next Frontier Capital, Will served as CEO of Flite, an advertising and analytics platform. Previously, Will served as a Managing Director at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and focused on software investing with Pequot Capital.
Earlier in his career Will worked for Morgan Stanley in NYC, Hong Kong, and the ASEAN markets. Will graduated from Harvard College, studied Mandarin at Nanjing University, and earned his MBA from Northwestern University. In addition to Next Frontier Capital and family, Will’s passions include coaching youth sports, the outdoors, and conservation.
Will’s breadth of expertise and demonstrated ability to build industry-shifting advertising technology makes him a valued member of the LumenAd team.
A “programmatic OG,” Ramsey is the Chief Revenue Officer of Mediaocean. Throughout his career, Ramsey has stage dived into chaotic industries and companies, working across organizations from startups to major corporations.
Starting at DoubleClick in the late 90s, his career has touched just about every major player in modern advertising. He later joined Right Media where he co-created dynamic pricing (dCPM) in 2004, and launched and scaled the first successful programmatic exchange. From 2007-2011, Ramsey was deeply involved in developing the programmatic market, including the first-ever Agency Trading Desks partnerships with GroupM, Publicis, and Havas, and eventually led Yahoo! ad platforms and US data partnerships.
As a leader within the adtech industry, Ramsey has been featured in several publications including AdExchanger, and is a prominent writer and speaker on programmatic and television advertising, innovation, data, privacy, and blockchain.
Ramsey is a giant in the world of advertising. His expertise and vision is a great asset for LumenAd and the industry as a whole.
VP of Client Services
Shane is a creative at heart that applies his out-of-the-box thinking to keep LumenAd on the cutting edge of the digital advertising industry.
One of the earliest employees at LumenAd, Shane has served as a “jack-of-all trades” leader, helping to grow the media services, sales and customer success teams. He’s had a significant hand in everything from product development to marketing initiatives and serves as one of the minds behind it all.
Before LumenAd, Shane was a video producer at Toy Soldier Productions and later served as the content production manager at Storm Mountain Media. He has a BA in Film & Photography from Montana State University.
VP of Sales
Andrew specializes in the path less traveled, opting to lead cutting-edge organizations on a journey of growth. From refining the selling strategy for early stage products to scaling sales teams from the ground up, he’s done it all for startups of all stripes.
At LumenAd, Andrew heads all things new business, from marketing and brand building, to lead generation and nurture, to ultimately closing deals that change the future of our clients for the better.
Before joining LumenAd, Andrew has lead sales teams at RightNow Technologies, Oracle, Socrata, FICO and Ataata. He has a BA in History and Religious Studies from Montana State University and a Financial Management Certificate from Cornell.
VP of Engineering
Chad is good at running. He’s also good at running growth-oriented SaaS teams. Starting as a developer and manager, he’s spent most of his career growing and perfecting development and engineering teams across multiple industries.
As VP of Engineering, Chad shapes the processes through which LumenAd’s technology gets built. With teams across two continents, he’s adept at leveraging individual strengths and keeping a number of plates spinning.
When not volunteering for USA Track and Field, Chad has led development teams at Burton Group, Schedulicity, OnX, Montana State University and Computers Unlimited. He has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
VP of Media
Will’s middle name is Meticulous (or at least it should be). The secret to his ability to retain and grow client relationships is, well, not much of a secret: he and his team deliver results each and every time.
As VP of Media, Will leads the media arm of LumenAd. Using his eye for detail, he’s built what some call the most sophisticated media team in the country, to the point where one client said that working with his team was “the highlight of my career.”
Before joining LumenAd as an account executive, Will co-owned a local gym. He holds a BA in Business Management and an MBA from the University of Montana.
VP of UX
Ashley is the “user whisperer,” translating the needs of our clients and the market as a whole into slick, easy to use UI. A thought leader in her own field, she ensures LumenAd is ahead of the curve and makes the design of LumenAd one of its strongest value propositions.
As VP of UX, Ashley manages all of LumenAd’s user experience and interface design with a team both on and offshore. She’s a highly collaborative leader who thinks with the pragmatism of a product manager, the rationale of a developer, and the creativity of a designer. At the core, she’s an engineer and her team of engineers translate insights about the industry from other teams into interactions that make a difference in users’ everyday lives.
Before LumenAd, Ashley served as a leader in engineering at FedEx, Blackboard, Fi360, and West Virginia University. She holds a BS in Computer Science & Business Administration from Missouri State University, an MS in Software Engineering from West Virginia University, and is currently finishing up an MLA in Digital Media and Design from Harvard.
Director of Demand Generation
Brought on to light a fire under LumenAd’s lead generation, Ember has proven to be a bona fide brand builder shaping LumenAd’s future. And when she’s not lighting things up in the office, she’s doing so on the slopes with her skis and on the trail with her bike.
As the head of all things marketing, Ember is the keeper of the LumenAd brand. Her team puts LumenAd on the map by showcasing the considerable subject matter expertise each department cultivates.
Ember was previously the head of marketing at Wisetail and has more than five years experience in digital advertising. She holds a BS in Business Management and Marketing from Montana State University.
Director of Client Services
All the work other teams do are the alley-oops to Reina’s dunk. With a “get sh*t done” attitude and a razor sharp wit, Reina and her team are the faces of LumenAd that always follow through.
As the Director of Client Services, Reina ensures LumenAd’s clients have the support they need to succeed. Her team does everything from solving day-to-day issues to identifying key user insights that shape the future of both LumenAd and our clients.

Director of Media Services
A master at project management, Madison knows how to run a tight ship thanks to her ability to break down even the most complex concepts and processes into easy to understand analogies. Seriously, she’s always got one (or three) ready to go in her quiver (she’s an avid bowhunter).
Madison is in charge of the day-to-day functions of the media services team, ensuring everything runs smoothly, deadlines are hit and that KPIs are on track. Her team is a well-oiled machine that constantly iterates toward success.
Before LumenAd, Madison cut her teeth at Amazon, leading digital creative campaigns. She holds a BA in Communications – Advertising from Washington State University.
Regional Director of Engineering
A mystery man of many talents — hip hop dancing, opera singing, and many, many more — Damon’s drive for perfection in all things sets the tone for LumenAd’s engineering. It’s tough to pick a better ambassador of LumenAd’s culture to establish a new office half a world away.
Damon heads the Brno office as the Regional Director of Engineering. The Brno team (LumenAd’s first official overseas team) supports the Missoula engineering team and ensures the software is being perfected at all hours of the day.
Damon is one of the original engineers at LumenAd and has previously held engineering and leadership positions at Audience Awards and Visionary Graphics. He holds a degree from Beacon College.
Operations and Facilities Director
An intense sense of craft permeates everything Marion turns her attention to, from pottery to managing huge renovations to keeping the snacks stocked. She’s the brain behind the brains, ensuring we all have what we need to be our best.
As Operations and Facilities Director, Marion keeps each office’s day-to-day running smoothly. Whether that’s keeping us caffeinated or organizing the yearly all-hands meeting, where everyone comes home to Missoula to celebrate and kick off a new year.
Marion has a history in working in hospitality and holds a BFA from the University of Montana.
Director of Human Resources
Amanda is passionate about people and processes. As the Director of Human Resources, she drives the success of the HR function from staffing and onboarding to benefits, compliance and creative problem solving.
She works tirelessly to make sure our employees are well supported and contributes to a positive culture by demonstrating LumenAd’s core values.
Before LumenAd, Amanda worked as a Recruiter and General Manager for Express Employment Professionals and volunteered her expertise as VP of Programs for the local SHRM chapter. She holds a SHRM-CP through the Society of Human Resources.
Turns out finance people can be the most fun people in the office. Kara, for example, brings the same sense of enthusiasm (and dare we say fun) to accounting and finances as she does to the ski slopes.
As LumenAd’s Controller, Kara keeps firm hand on all things accounting and finance. Her extensive entrepreneurial and financial experience make her a uniquely qualified fit for the future of LumenAd.
Kara has served in financial leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Anderson ZurMuehlen, CrossTX and The Work Spot MT. She’s a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS and a Master’s in Accounting from Montana State University.
Senior Product Manager
Whether on the field or in the boardroom, Daniel is the guy you want on your team (he’s scored a hat trick for LumenAd’s indoor soccer team). He applies his drive for excellence to LumenAd’s software and it shows in each and every release.
Drawing on his pedigree of product leadership experience, Daniel leads the charge in developing the LumenAd software and building a growth-oriented organization. His team not only surfaces valuable market insights, they proactively and creatively address them within LumenAd.
Daniel has worked at the European Broadcast Union, GE, Aol, Hibu, DDC Advocacy and Jovix in product leadership positions before joining LumenAd. He has a BS in Economics from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
